Viola cornuta Alba Group
Common Name: 'Horned violet', 'Tufted pansy'AGM. This species is vigorous and reliably perennial. White flowers are produced for many weeks over a large, dense clump of light green, lance-shaped leaves. Apr-Oct. H20cm S45cm.
Care Instructions
Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Like most violas, it blooms over a very long period, benefitting from a quick haircut after its first flowering to encourage more to appear and to keep the plant looking tidy. Excellent at the front of a border, spilling over pathways or in containers. It forms good ground cover for a shady border and associates well with hardy Geraniums and Campanulas.
