Synonym(s): Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Kokuryu', Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Black Dragon' Common Name: 'Dragon's whiskers', 'Black mondo'AGM. A clump-forming perennial with unusual, almost black, evergreen strap-like foliage and little, lilac flower spikes followed by glossy black berries. Jul-Aug. H20cm S30cm.

Care Instructions
Best grown in humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, in sun or semi-shade. May be slow to establish but forms dense clumps. Useful as an edging or in pots and its striking leaf colour makes it a wonderful foil for many other plants.
