Common Name: 'Bastard balm'

A clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with scalloped, honey-scented, wrinkled and hairy, dark green leaves on erect stems and terminal, orchid-like white flowers with a large dark purple lip in late spring and early summer. May-Jul. H40cm S40cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in partial shade but will grow in sun as long as the soil is moist as the plant hates to dry out. Attractive to bees and butterflies.
