Meconopsis 'Mrs Jebb'
Common Name: 'Himalayan poppy'AGM. This distinctive form has nicely shaped, outward facing flowers which are pure, intense blue and a deeper shade than most other cultivars. It is relatively short and neat so is an excellent choice for smaller gardens. A selection from ‘M. Crewdson Hybrid’. May-Jul. H100cm-120cm S60cm.
Care Instructions
Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil in an open situation or in partial shade. Keep well-watered in hot, dry weather and sheltered from cold drying winds. Summer drought is the worst enemy of these plants but also avoid boggy conditions. Divide every few years in early spring to maintain vigour.
This variety is part of the Infertile Blue Group of Meconopsis and is vegetatively propagated.
