Synonym(s): Viscaria vulgaris, Lychnis viscaria alpina Common Name: 'German catchfly'Large bright pinkish-magenta flowers in profusion in early and mid-summer. The stems exude a sticky sap, which catches insects trying to steal nectar without pollinating the plant, hence the common name 'catchfly'. Jun-Jul. H40cm S40cm.
