Limonium platyphyllum

Synonym(s): Limonium latifolium Common Name: 'Sea lavender', 'Broad-leaved statice'

A a rosette-forming perennial with dark green basal leaves, which turn shades of red in autumn, and large airy heads of tiny, violet flowers, Jul-Aug. H50cm S45cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in sandy soil but will tolerate any well-drained soil in full sun. Useful for dry stony sites or gravel gardens. Good for coastal gardens. The flowers are good for drying.
