Synonym(s): Imperata cylindrica 'Red Baron' Common Name: 'Japanese blood grass'

One of the most colourful grasses. Upright, yellowish-green leaves, which are stained blood-red from the tip particularly in the autumn. Forms slow spreading, loose clumps with narrow silvery flower panicles in late summer. Jul-Aug. H30cm S30cm.

Care Instructions

For a moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in full sun or partial shade. May need winter protection in cold areas.
