Eryngium giganteum 'Silver Ghost'

Common Name: 'Sea holly'

AGM. Cone-like heads of pale blue flowers surrounded by stiff silvery-white bracts. This is a biennial which perpetuates itself by self-seeding. Jul-Sep. H75cm S30cm.

Care Instructions

Easy to grow in dry, well-drained soil that is poor to moderately fertile. Full sun is essential. Tends to be biennial but it self-seeds readily in the right conditions. Great with grasses and sedums. Looks good almost anywhere, but a good group of companion plants would be Sedum ‘Matrona’, Allium sphaerocephalon and Helictotrichon sempervirens .

Plant No: 698
