Common Name: 'Red valerian'This is one of the most drought tolerant perennials with greyish-green leaves and round heads of tiny, brick red flowers that are loved by butterflies and bees. May-Sep. H90cm S60cm.
Care Instructions
Grow in a well-drained soil that is poor to moderately fertile, ideally a chalky or stony soil and in ful sun. It self-seeds freely especially in sandy soils and will naturalize in walls and paving. It is great for seaside gardens and mass planting in gravel.
