Allium christophii
Synonym(s): Allium albopilosum Common Name: 'Star of Persia'AGM. The huge round heads, 20cm in width, of silvery mauve stars look good even as they fade, so leave to dry in situ. Strap shaped glaucous-green leaves appear in spring and then wither as the flower spike develops. Jun-Jul. H45cm S20cm.
Care Instructions
An easy to grow perennial bulb for a well-drained sunny position. It flowers later than A. ‘Purple Sensation’ and is shorter, so is more suitable for the front of the border.
