Synonym(s): Cimicifuga 'Brunette', Actaea simplex (Atropurpurea Group) 'Brunette' Common Name: 'Baneberry'

AGM. Formerly known as Cimicifuga 'Brunette'. This is a comparatively tall variety with very dark purple foliage and scented, white bottlebrush flowers which are tinted purple in bud. Sep-Oct. H120cm S60cm.

Care Instructions

Grow in cool, reliably moist, moderately fertile soil, enriched with organic matter in sun or part shade. In a large border you could try growing it with Ligularia 'The Rocket', Hosta ‘Big Daddy’ and Hemerocallis ‘Golden Chimes’.
