Carex riparia 'Variegata'

Synonym(s): Carex acuta 'Variegata Common Name: 'Sedge'

The new leaves emerge white, gradually turning green at the edges as they age. Deciduous. Showy tassels of reddish brown male flowers and black female flowers in summer. Jun-Aug. H90cm S90cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in a moist, fertile soil in sun or partial shade. Will grow with its feet in water but perhaps better grown in a pot than in the ground as it has a tendancy to run.
