Aconitum 'Bressingham Spire'

Common Name: 'Monk's hood'

AGM. A lovely perennial with a neat, compact habit. Narrow, unbranched spikes of deep, deep violet-blue, hooded flowers and glossy, dark green foliage. Jul-Sep. H90cm S45cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in moisture retentive, fertile well-drained soil in partial shade but will tolerate most soils and full sun. It makes a good substitute for Delphiniums if you find these difficult to grow, being reasonably, self-supporting and less prone to slug damage. Good as a cut flower and loved by bees.
