Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Inverleith'

Synonym(s): Bistorta amplexicaulis 'Inverleith', Polygonum amplexicaule 'Inverleith' Common Name: 'Red bistort'

A robust clump-forming perennial with relatively short heads of brick red flowers and a more compact rounded habit than other varieties. The flowers are from mid-summer until the first frosts above a low mound of large, mid-green leaves. Jul-Oct. H60cm S75cm.

Care Instructions

Best grown in any moist, fertile soil in sun or partial shade but is also tolerant of poorer and drier conditions. Good ground cover especially for clay soils. It would look good planted with Sedum 'Autumn Joy'.
